Behavior

S3 compatibility

This command uses a MinIO AIStor administrative API and does not work against other S3-compatible services.

Required permissions

MinIO AIStor requires the admin:ListTier administrative permission on the cluster. The command only reads tier statistics, so it does not need permission to change tiers or lifecycle rules.

For example, the following policy provides permission to view tier statistics:

{
   "Version": "2012-10-17",
   "Statement": [
      {
            "Action": [
               "admin:ListTier"
            ],
            "Effect": "Allow",
            "Sid": "EnableRemoteTierStatistics"
      }
   ]
}
