Site Settings
This page covers settings for site identification and configuration.
Each configuration setting controls fundamental MinIO AIStor behavior and functionality. Test configuration changes in a lower environment, such as DEV or QA, before applying to production.
Site name
Optional
Specify a name for the MinIO AIStor deployment. This name identifies the cluster in SUBNET registration and other administrative contexts.
If not set, MinIO AIStor automatically generates a name at startup using the format <MythicalCreature><Element> (for example, “GriffinWave”, “UnicornFrost”, “KrakenStone”).
The auto-generated name persists across restarts.
When set as an environment variable, the name takes precedence and cannot be changed using mc admin name set or mc admin config set.

Optional
Specify a region for the MinIO AIStor deployment. This setting is used for site replication configurations.
